Uglach Victor Alexandrovich


Born in 1953 in Tashkent.

In 1976 he graduated from Tashkent Art School named after P.P. Benkov with specialty of a painter-designer. On graduating from Tashkent Art School he worked at the State Theatre of Opera and Ballet of Navoi, and later at the Art Works ‘Russom‘ in Tashkent.

Since 1978 he has been a participant of national and international exhibitions.

Since 1990 a member of the Artists' Union of the Soviet Union and later of Russia.

Since 1994 he has been living in tWorks in the style of realism, surrealism, monumental painting, as well as in watercolor painting, portrait genre, the genre of historical painting.

From 1993 to 2006 he worked at the Art Gallery of Thessaloniki (Greece). At that period of time he went on creative trips to Agioros Athos, Holy Meteora, Russian Monastery of St. Panteleimon.

Since 2007, he has created a number of historic monumental works at Ulyanovsk State Technical University (distinguished people of science, culture and art of 17-18 centuries).

His works are in the public art museum in Tashkent, Urgench art gallery, in the galleries and private collections in Russia, the USA, Israel, Iran , Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Netherlands, Greece , England, Czechoslovakia and other countries.
